Onwards Thrift store was established March 2014. The purpose of Onwards Thrift store is to generate funds for various local charities and to support Christian education at Oxford Reformed Christian School in Mount Elgin. The goal is to aid this mission by providing an excellent retail experience through regular sales, in-store events and local outreach in the community.

Onwards Thrift relies on donations of gently used goods from the local community. Bins are in place throughout the community for the collection of these items. Donations are also welcome on-site at 165 Tillson Ave. Items are sorted, tested, and set out for retail at reasonable prices. Dedicated volunteers generously donate their time to assist in the daily operations of Onwards Thrift.

Come in to see the large selection of gently used clothing, unique home decor items, books, housewares, sporting goods, furniture and much more. Extraordinary, one-of-a-kind pieces of quality scratch-and-dent furniture is another featured product. We also feature some handmade items crafted by local artisans, including signs, macrame, soy candles, soother clips, etc.
